Blogs Are Stupid

Doesn't anyone believe in Dear Diary anymore? What happened to the joy of putting actual pen to paper? And why does every ordinary Jane and John think they can write well enough to burden the world with their scribblings? It’s a mystery that badly needs solving. My first entry contains my thoughts about blogging and will set your expectations. The rest will probably be stream of consciousness garbage, much like you’ll find on any other blog. Perhaps we will both come away enlightened.

Blog PSA

As I mentioned in another post, Spring Break is upon us here at the BA household. We have a plethora of fun filled family activities planned, and alas, blogging is not one of them. I had thought I would simply take a break and let the ole blog speak for itself. But...I've finally gotten a little bit of traffic, and, well, shallow approval seeking person that I am....I like it. I don't want you to go away, which you will do if you come back day after day to see the same tired old post staring you in the face.

So, I've decided that throughout the week I will repost some of my favorite older posts; ones that probably have not been read by many people due to the fact that I did not publicize my blog at all for the first couple months of its existence. I could let you think I am just that prolific, but that kind of thing has a way of coming back to bite you in the butt, so in the interest of full disclosure, the pieces that I post this week are not new. But I hope you will enjoy them, even if, by chance, you've already read them.

I haven't read them so I'm excited. BTW- Pillars of the Earth is one of my all time favorite books. Please tell me how you like it.

    Thanks!

I absolutely love POTE. I've actually read it before, but I loved it so much I decided to re-read it.

Mansfield Park, however....bleh. I really enjoyed Pride and Prejudice, so I was anxious to delve into another Austen masterpiece. But this one just isn't as engaging. I'm having a hard time slogging through it.

I was doing book reviews now and then, I need to get back to doing them. Maybe I'll review POTE when I'm done re-reading it. I honestly don't know if I could do it justice though.

Post recycling rocks! I did it last week. Why waste perfectly good entries? Especially yours, which are always so good ;-)
